Use Echo without the app, arm a capture or send a saved signal from the button.
Standalone Button
Echo has one button. Once you have set it up in the app, it lets you use the device with no phone in reach. Echo tells a quick tap from a press-and-hold, and while the app is connected every press also shows up there with a blue blink.
Button actions
You choose what the button does in the app:
| Send a saved signal | A quick tap sends a chosen saved signal from your library. Rolling-code signals are refused, and the light turns red if it cannot send (for example if the radio is busy). |
| Learn and play | Press and hold to capture one signal, then tap to send back the last one you captured. |
Pick the action and the saved signal to send from the signal library in the app.
Sending a saved signal is a transmit
Both button actions can transmit. They refuse rolling-code signals, but a saved fixed-code signal will be sent over the air, only arm a signal you are authorized to transmit, and bear in mind a bumped button could send it. See Safety & Legal.
