Echo Sub-GHz
When a ZeroTrace Echo is connected, Desktop opens a workspace built for sub-GHz radio instead of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Echo listens to the lower-frequency bands used by many remotes, sensors, and simple wireless devices, and Desktop gives you a full-screen way to see and work with those signals.
The Sub-GHz views
- Live — watch the sub-GHz band in real time and see signals as they appear, so you can tell when something is transmitting and roughly how strong it is.
- Capture — record a signal so you can keep it, study it, and compare it against others.
- Decode — read the structure of a captured signal and identify what kind of device it came from, where Echo can recognize it. See Echo: fixed-code decoders for the device types Echo understands.
- Defense — the counter-surveillance side: watching the band for signs of interference or replay against your own equipment. Echo's radio work here is receive-only. See Echo: RF counter-surveillance.

Capturing and analyzing radio signals can be restricted by law where you are. Only work with signals from devices you own or are explicitly authorized to assess, and stay within your local radio regulations.
