ZeroTrace Desktop
Scanner, Live & Capture
Watch what a connected AirLeak sees in real time, on a full-size screen, and review what it has captured.
Scanner, Live & Capture
When an AirLeak Pro or AirLeak Core is connected, Desktop opens a capture workspace built around three closely related views. Together they let you watch the wireless environment as the device hears it and go back over what it recorded, with far more room than a phone screen.
Scanner
The Scanner is the live sweep. Start it, and the devices and networks around you begin to populate as the AirLeak hears them, each with its signal strength and the details the device could read. It is the fastest way to see what is in range right now.
Live
The Live view is the continuous stream. Rather than a single sweep, it shows activity as it happens over time, so you can watch how the environment changes, devices coming and going, signal strength rising and falling as something moves closer or further away.
Capture
The Capture view is the record. Everything the device has heard during a session is collected here so you can sort it, search it, and study it after the fact, at your own pace, on a screen big enough to take it all in.
These views show the same capture your AirLeak performs in the field, just with the space of a desktop screen. For what the hardware actually sees and how it reads Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, see AirLeak Pro: Wi-Fi capture and Bluetooth capture.
The capture views are for the AirLeak family. Connect an Echo instead and Desktop shows the Sub-GHz workspace, which is organized around radio signals rather than Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices.
