ZeroTrace USBLogger

First run

Activate the license, connect to the device's Wi-Fi, and calibrate your keyboard layout.

  1. Activate your license

The USBLogger's live view and settings are unlocked with your ZeroTrace license. See Licensing for activation. Until activated, review features are locked.

  2. Connect to the device's Wi-Fi

The USBLogger provides its own Wi-Fi network. Connect your phone or laptop to it, then open the address shown in your welcome card in a browser to reach the interface.

  3. Choose your keyboard layout

In the interface, select the layout that matches the keyboard you are testing (for example US English, German, French). This makes the recorded text match the characters that were typed. See Keymaps & locales.

  4. Calibrate an unusual layout (optional)

If your keyboard is not covered by the built-in layouts, run calibration: the interface prompts you to type a short set of characters once and learns the mapping. See Keymaps & locales.

  5. Set up flagging (optional)

Add keywords or patterns so the lines you care about are highlighted automatically. See Keyword & pattern flagging.

Wi-Fi is per-device and protected

Each USBLogger uses its own Wi-Fi network with a device-specific password, and the review pages are gated by your license. Only someone with the password and a valid license can open the live view.
