Remote control over Bluetooth

Trigger and drive payloads from the mobile app over Bluetooth, no cable to the controlling device

ZeroTrace HID is driven entirely from the ZeroTrace mobile app over Bluetooth. Pair once and the full feature set is in your pocket, no SSH, no terminal, no browser, no install beyond the app.

What you can do from the app

  • Edit and run scripts in the Executor, save to device storage.
  • Trigger payloads on demand, useful for plant-and-trigger workflows.
  • Drive Live Mode, virtual keyboard, touchpad, and gamepad controlling the target host.
  • Manage files, upload, delete, set autostart.
  • Configure settings, BLE identity, keyboard layout, power, recon, self-destruct.
  • Read live execution feedback, watch a payload run line by line.

Standoff distance

Control runs over Bluetooth LE, so the range is BLE range: roughly a room's worth through ordinary indoor construction, and farther in open line of sight. Range depends on the device's power mode and your phone's radio.

For longer-range, multi-device operation, link units into the TraceNetwork mesh, which carries device-to-device over ESP-NOW at much greater distances.

What about WiFi?

The device's WiFi radio is no longer used for control or a web UI. It powers the TraceNetwork mesh (ESP-NOW) and fleet WiFi scanning. There is no longer a browser interface at 192.168.4.1.
