ZeroTrace HID & Dongle

Introduction

A USB keystroke-automation platform you script from your phone, shipped as a full HID board and a bare USB-A dongle.

ZeroTrace HID & Dongle

The ZeroTrace HID line is a family of USB keystroke-automation devices. Plugged into a host computer, they present themselves as an ordinary USB keyboard, mouse and gamepad, then type, click and act out whatever script you have loaded. You write those scripts in ZeroTrace Script, a compact automation language, and drive the device from the ZeroTrace mobile app over Bluetooth LE.

The same firmware engine ships in two customer-facing shapes:

  • The full HID board (ZeroTrace Kit and ZeroTrace Pro), with on-board storage, an RGB status light and, on some variants, a small screen and a memory card.
  • The ZeroTrace Dongle, a bare USB-A stick that plugs straight into a port and behaves purely as a HID device.

Both run the same language and the same feature set. They differ mainly in form factor and storage, covered on the Hardware page.

Authorized use only

ZeroTrace HID devices are keystroke-automation instruments for security labs, IT training and demonstrations. They act on whatever host they are plugged into, exactly as a person at the keyboard would. Use them only on computers you own or are explicitly authorized to test. See Safety & Legal.
