Licensing & Activation
Every ZeroTrace product follows the same principle: you buy it once and it is yours for life, with free updates and no subscription. Activation simply unlocks the licensed capabilities on your own device or machine. There is no account to create and nothing about your usage is sent to us.
How it works across the line
- Hardware devices are activated through the mobile app. Many features are available straight away; a license unlocks the rest. Activation happens on the device itself, and the app remembers it.
- Desktop software (the OSINT and Proxy suites) is activated on your machine and stores its license locally, so it keeps working offline once activated.
- Because everything is local-first, your license is tied to your hardware, not to a cloud account you have to stay signed in to.
Activation is a one-time step. There are no recurring charges on core hardware or firmware, and updates stay free for the life of the product.
