The AirLeak settings you can adjust from the ZeroTrace app, and how they persist.
Settings
AirLeak is designed to work well as soon as it is running, sensible defaults, always listening, alerts on. The settings below let you tune it to how you use it. All of them live in the ZeroTrace app and are sent to the board over Bluetooth LE.
Alerts
The most useful settings control the follow-me alerts. You can turn individual kinds of warning on or off, so you hear about the situations you care about and are not nudged by the ones you do not, tracker-specific alerts, multi-hour persistence, and exposure notices can each be toggled independently. For example, you might keep the multi-hour follower warning on at all times but silence more routine exposure notices in busy places.
Scanning behaviour
AirLeak listens continuously by default. Settings let you shape how it watches, how aggressively it surfaces new devices versus settling on confident identities, so you can trade a calmer view for a more sensitive one depending on the situation.
Status light
If your board has an addressable status light, AirLeak uses it to show state at a glance. Its behaviour can be adjusted from the app.
Settings stick
AirLeak remembers your settings on the device. If it loses power or restarts, it comes back up in the state you left it, still scanning, with your alert choices intact, so you do not have to set it up again each time.
Every setting is reached through the ZeroTrace app while connected to your AirLeak, there is no separate configuration tool. See App integration.
