Safety & legal
The Mini runs the same firmware as the AirLeak Pro, so the same authorized-use posture applies in full. The general safety, legal, and authorization guidance lives in the Pro's Safety & legal page and applies to the Mini without change. This page covers only what is specific to the Mini's hardware.
The active tools in the Ops Suite transmit and interact with networks and devices. Use them only on infrastructure you own or have explicit, written permission to assess, and stay within the agreed scope. Testing systems without authorization may break the law. LiPo battery handling
The Mini differs from the Pro in one safety-relevant way: it is powered by a LiPo (lithium-polymer) pack on a JST connector rather than an 18650 cell. LiPo packs need care.
- Use a good-quality LiPo pack, ideally with built-in protection, and a matching JST plug fitted the right way round.
- Never use a swollen, punctured, or damaged pack. Dispose of a damaged pack safely.
- Do not charge the device unattended, and do not charge a damaged pack.
- Keep the pack away from heat and do not crush or pierce it.
- The device has no user-serviceable parts inside.
Radio and regional rules
Radio transmission is regulated. The bands the Mini uses and the operations it can perform may be restricted where you are. It is your responsibility to operate within local radio regulations, the same as with the Pro.
Like the Pro, the Mini keeps everything on the device and your phone, there is no cloud account and nothing is uploaded. What you collect stays in your hands, which also makes it your responsibility to protect. See Privacy.
