Why Two Processors

AirLeak Pro carries two processors instead of one. The reason is simple: doing both Bluetooth and full dual-band Wi-Fi well, at the same time, is more than one radio and one processor can manage without one job getting in the way of the other.

The split#

• One processor is the brain. It runs Bluetooth LE, all the app logic, the GPS, the memory card and the battery management. This is the part you talk to from the app, and it is what recognizes and organizes everything the device hears.
• The second processor is a dedicated Wi-Fi radio. Its only job is dual-band Wi-Fi, listening across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Because that is all it does, it can keep up with a busy Wi-Fi environment without ever pausing the Bluetooth side.

The two are wired together and work as a team: the Wi-Fi processor hears the networks and passes them to the brain, which merges them with the Bluetooth devices and the GPS location into the single picture you see in the app.

Why it matters to you#

Because each radio has its own processor, both run at full speed at once. A crowded Wi-Fi survey never slows down Bluetooth detection, and a busy Bluetooth environment never makes the Wi-Fi radio miss networks. A single-processor design has to take turns; AirLeak Pro does not.
