Comments

Comments are notes that are ignored during execution. ZeroTrace supports single-line comments and multi-line comment blocks.

Single-line comments#

Place // or # at the start of a line or after a command. Everything from the marker to the end of the line is stripped.

# Full-line comment
writeLn "Hello" // Inline comment
delay "1000" # Another inline comment
// Another full-line comment

Freestyle notes#

Any line that does not begin with a valid command is ignored, so plain notes are safe.

This is a freestyle note and will be ignored.

Comment blocks#

commentStart … commentEnd skips everything between the two markers, across multiple lines. Unlike single-line comments, a comment block also works inside repeat, while, and function bodies.
