Your first capture
Once AirLeak Pro is paired, a first survey takes about a minute to get going.
Start a scan
From the AirLeak Pro screen in the app, start a scan. Both radios begin listening immediately, Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi access points start appearing in the same view.
Let GPS find a fix
Give the GPS a clear view of the sky for the first fix, which can take a minute or two from cold. Once it locks on, new entries are tagged with your location and the app shows a positioning indicator.
Watch the picture build
Access points fill in with their network name, band, channel, signal and security type. Bluetooth devices resolve into named entries. Nearby client devices appear alongside the networks they probe for.
Walk or drive a route
Move through the area you are surveying. AirLeak Pro keeps re-hearing devices and updating their strongest location, building a route you can map afterwards. See GPS & wardriving.
Save to card
With a microSD card fitted, enable logging to write everything you hear to a mapping-ready file. See Logging.
