What It Captures

AirLeak Pro builds a live map of the wireless world around you. It draws on three sources at once and merges them into a single picture in the app.

Wi-Fi, both bands#

The dedicated Wi-Fi radio listens across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and reports every access point it hears, its network name, the band and channel, signal strength, and the security type (Open through WPA3, including enterprise and OWE). It also spots hidden networks, reads modern protections such as protected-management-frames and WPS, works out which Wi-Fi generation each network is (Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7), and picks up nearby client devices, including whether a device is using a randomized private address. Bluetooth LE#

At the same time, AirLeak Pro listens to Bluetooth LE and names the devices around you, Apple, Samsung, Google and Microsoft accessories, item trackers such as Tile and Chipolo, and a wide range of beacons and sensors. It handles the rotating privacy addresses that modern devices use, so a phone shows up as one device over time rather than a crowd of strangers. Full detail on Bluetooth capture.

Location#

The on-board GPS tags what you hear with where you heard it. Walk or drive a route and AirLeak Pro records a location-stamped survey you can map afterwards. Full detail on GPS & wardriving.

Everything, saved#
