AirLeak Pro is a professional tool for wireless surveying and authorized security assessment. How you use it is your responsibility.

Passive vs active#

• Passive survey, listening to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and recording what devices already broadcast, is what AirLeak Pro does by default. Rules on passive surveying and wardriving vary by country and locale; know the law where you operate.
• Active operations, the Ops Suite, transmit and interact. These carry the highest responsibility and require authorization every time.

Before an engagement#

• Get authorization in writing, with a defined scope and time window.
• Confirm what is in and out of scope, networks, devices, buildings, and people.
• Keep your evidence (captures, logs) secured and handled per your engagement's rules.

Radio and regional rules#

Radio transmission is regulated. The bands AirLeak Pro uses and the operations it can perform may be restricted where you are. It is your responsibility to operate within local radio regulations.

Physical safety#

• Use a good-quality, protected 18650 cell and mind the polarity marked on the board.
• Do not charge an unattended device on a damaged cell.
• The device has no user-serviceable parts inside.
