Installation

ZeroTrace HID devices ship pre-flashed and ready. Setup means powering the device, pairing it with the app over Bluetooth LE, and activating your license, before you run your first payload.

1. Power the device

   Plug the Dongle straight into a USB-A port, or connect the full board by its USB cable. It powers up from the USB port and its RGB status light shows its state.

2. Install the ZeroTrace app

   Install the ZeroTrace mobile app. The device is controlled over Bluetooth LE, there is no web page and no pairing PIN.

3. Pair over Bluetooth LE

   Open the app and scan. The device appears under its friendly name; select it to connect. The app recognises the HID firmware automatically and opens the payload editor.

4. Activate your license

   Some features are unlocked by an active license tied to your device. Scan your license QR code in the app; the device stores and checks it, then unlocks the licensed features. See Licensing.
