Echo in the App

Capture, decode, brute-force and defend across sub-GHz RF, screen by screen.

Echo has no screen and no web page, you drive it entirely from the app over Bluetooth LE. Connecting an Echo opens a sub-GHz workbench with its own tab bar: Live, Capture, Decode, Brute, Defense, Ops, Settings.

Live

Live watches sub-GHz activity in real time as Echo listens across the band.

Capture

Capture records signals for analysis and replay, the raw material for everything else in the app.

Decode

Decode is the reverse-engineering workbench: pull apart a captured signal, identify its structure, and understand what it's saying. This is where fixed-code and rolling-code analysis happens, and where a Flipper Zero .sub file can be imported for analysis alongside Echo's own captures.

Brute

Brute is the brute-forcer for fixed-code signals, exhaustively testing a code space against a target.

Defense

Defense is Echo's counter-surveillance toolkit:

  • Jamming detection — flags RF jamming in progress.
  • Jam-and-replay flagging — recognizes the RollJam pattern, a jammed signal captured then replayed.
  • Remote reappearance alerts — warns you when a remote matching one you've already seen shows up again.

Ops

Ops is the wider toolbox beyond the main tabs:

  • Analyzer — an RSSI sweep across the band.
  • Sensors — passive listening for TPMS, weather-station and alarm-sensor traffic.
  • Library — Echo's signal library, browse and manage saved signals.
  • Rules — RF automation, trigger an action when a matching signal is seen.
  • Mesh — Echo-to-Echo device-to-device messaging and find-my, not an AI feature, just direct RF communication between Echo units.
  • Remotes — saved remotes you've captured and classified.
  • Sightings — a log of when and where signals were seen.
  • Site survey and field map — mapping RF activity across a location.
  • Protocol builder — construct a custom protocol definition for a signal Echo doesn't already recognize.
  • Sub viewer — inspect imported .sub captures.
  • Gate audit — a structured check of a gate or garage remote's rolling-code hygiene.
  • Sequence, rolling reference, cases, dex, hunt, audit remote, panel, calibrate — supporting tools for building out a case file on a signal over time.
