Syntax and Language

The ZeroTrace scripting language wraps the raw HID commands in a small set of control-flow, text, and value features. Every construct below is resolved on-device by the transpiler as the script runs.

Language reference#

• Blocks — group and repeat lines: write blocks, repeat, while, function, and comment blocks.
• Conditions — IF / ELSE_IF / ELSE / IF_END with string and numeric comparators.
• Variables — declare with _$VAR, reference with ${name}$, mutate with set/add/sub/mul/mod, and read live device states.
• Operators — the 14 _$-prefixed value generators for random data and string manipulation.
• Comments — // and # single-line notes plus commentStart / commentEnd blocks.
• Quotes — single, double, and backtick quoting, and how to escape a quote character.
