Fox Hunt
Track a wireless signal by direction and close in on its physical source, driven from the desktop.
Fox Hunt is direction finding. It turns a connected AirLeak Pro into a homing tool: you pick a signal you want to locate, and the view helps you tell whether you are getting closer to or further from its source as you move.
The name comes from radio sport, "hunting the fox" means chasing down a hidden transmitter. In practice you use it to answer a physical question: where is this thing? A tracker you found in a sweep, an access point that should not be there, a device that keeps reappearing, Fox Hunt helps you walk it down.
How it works for you
Once you select a target, Desktop shows its signal strength as a clear, continuously updating reading. Signal strength rises as you approach the source and falls as you move away, so you sweep in the direction that makes the reading stronger and follow it in. On a desktop screen the reading is large and easy to watch while you concentrate on moving.
